Brxl Bravo – or as its website dubs it Bravo Brussels – is one of the highlights of the year in Brussels. Different artistic genres come together for three days and one all-nighter to produce a festival of culture which is envied the world over.
Theatres, museums, visual artists, video makers, choreographers and writers all join together. Together they use their artistic license to create a sensational artistic programme. There really is something for everyone.
What’s more it’s interesting to see what their creative juices produce. With so many different artists working together there is inevitable artistic turmoil – some want their influence to show through more than it does.
But the truth is, that this really is a festival of innovation – new one-off shows are specially commissioned for this festival, taking place over the weekend of the 2nd to the 4th of October 2009.
And with something for everyone, regardless of artistic preferences, it is a fantastic time to visit Brussels, particularly as wherever you stay, they’ll be a cultural event near you.
