The first design festival of Brussels, Design September was held for the first time in 2006 and since then it has been a success every year. As the name suggest, the events runs for the whole month of September with a series of activities linked to contemporary design. Food, workshops and plenty of shopping opportunities are also on the agenda.
While championing its special features and giving preference to Belgian designs, the festival is open to the international artists as well. This year once again the festival will be able to take pride in inviting a broad panel of internationally recognized designers, like Tom Dixon, Front Design, Mathieu Lehanneur and BarberOsgerby. They will participate and share their passion through conferences, symposiums, awards, exhibitions and drinks.
During the month, visitors will have exclusive access into a dozen of Brussels’ most renowned designers’ workshops. From September 17 to 30 2009, you definitely should attend the Food Design workshop, where some of best restaurant in the city will create design menus, to be sampled in style.
