(please play nice?) This is kinda wierdly romantic. For an ex's birthday I booked us a hotel complete with spa, champagne the whole bit. Unfortunately the room did'nt come with a VCR (this was quite a while ago!). As it was her birthday naturally I took it upon myself to ask for a VCR so we could watch our vids. Feeling somewhat embarrased when the fella turns up with the VCR to plug in, sees us in robes, spa bubbling away & gives us a little cheeky grin... All was good in the end though, got over the embarrassment & we hopped in the bubbly spa and settled in, to watch........ the Vicar of Dibley! Honest! Very late entry I know… very much my bad ;-) Thought I’d slip one in and let you guys decide! (please play nice?)

It turned out Budapest was mainly "closed" but we had a great time in the hotel spa. Trying to get home was a different issue as this was when the whole of the UK was snowed in. Had our flights change dto Thursday by crappy jet (this was on a monday night). We didnt have a lot of choice but either get a 3 day busy home to London, stay in a hostel that looked like many murders happened there & spend all night on the phone trying to get out of the country or stay till thursday, the only prob with staying till Thursday was ex had a funeral. After 7 hours on the phone & a nose bleed, I managed to get a flight from Budapest to Paris. In Paris, we managed to find a coach that would take us back to London Victoria. From Victoria, we got on the Gatwick Express & found teh car to drive it back to North Hertfordshire. During this time, we didnt kill each other & I spent a total of a grand on a "2 night romantic spa weekend". i would liek to say we're still together, but it turns out we work better as a couple when under pressure :) i took the ex boyfriend to a romantic 2 night trip in a five star spa hotel in Budapest as a celebration of a year together.
