Liège-Guillemins train station

La gare Liège-Guillemins

If you fancy going somewhere further a field once you’ve arrived in Brussels then hoping on a high speed train to Liège couldn’t be a better place to start.

Liège (also known as the ‘glowing city’) is over 1000 years old and is a city in the heart of Europe. Warm and welcoming the city has a range of museums, theatre’s , hotels’s , Opera, and reputable restaurants which all create the exceptional culture that Liège is known for.

As well as the many things to do in Liège it is also worth visiting just to see its newly built station – Liège-Guillemins. The design and look of the station brings together everything modern high speed train travel symbolises with its sleek streamlined look.

As well as the look and feel of this new station what is also amazing about it is that its designer Santiago Calatrava is also the engineer, sculptor and painter of this phenomenal new station.
