Next week, the Affordable Art Fair is heading to Brussels and we’re giving all our customers 2-for-1 entry simply by showing your Eurostar ticket!
The fair exhibits works from over 100 different galleries including some exceptional – and truly unique – content in wonderful surroundings, the Tour et Taxis. This fabulous venue has some real history behind it too, including a remarkably pretty clock-tower that will attract the photographer in you.
The fair is full of incredible work and highlights include stencils by the street-artist Jef Aérosol (check out his Flickr stream for some of his best work) and young Belgian artist, ALVARI, who will be constructing al fresco while the show is going on. With prices as low as €100, you genuinely can see works painted for you before taking them home later that day – and you’ll have something incredibly personal to admire for years to come.
The fair runs from Friday to Monday, but the Friday night looks likely to be the highlight of the Fair with Yves Mattagne, the celebrated Belgian chef who cooks like he is an artist, ‘exhibiting’ a specialised Arty-Menu for one night only. In addition to this the acclaimed sommelier Eric Boschman will be providing wine to match Mattagne’s menu – there can be few nicer circumstances in which to enjoy art.
