Have you always wanted to pick the brains of a musical legend and art aficionado, well this is your chance.
On Tuesday 12th April, Jarvis Cocker the Eurostar Plus Culture Ambassador and the lead singer of Britpop band Pulp will be taking over the @EurostarUK Twitter page between 3-4pm. Jarvis will be exclusively answering questions from Eurostar’s Twitter followers about his love of art, culture, travel and music.
As the ambassador for Eurostar Plus Culture, Jarvis wants to encourage people of all ages to engage with culture by visiting museums and galleries both at home and abroad.
Eurostar Plus Culture is a unique partnership between Eurostar and some of Europe’s most popular museums and galleries in Paris, London, Lille and Brussels. Travellers simply present their inbound Eurostar ticket to take advantage of 2-for-1 entry into paying exhibitions.
So, if you’re burning to know what Jarvis’ favorite art piece is, what gallery he visited last and even what he loves most about Paris then simply tweet your question with the hashtag #plusculture. Alternatively, simply submit your questions below in the comments (max 140 characters) and Jarvis will try to answer as many of them as he can on the day.
What’s more, anyone who sends Jarvis a question via Twitter using the #plusculture hashtag will be in the chance of winning a pair of return Eurostar tickets to Paris, Brussels or Lille, so they can experience the art and culture of these beautiful cities for themselves.
Jarvis Cocker will be taking the reigns of the @EurostarUK Twitter account on Tuesday 12th April between 3-4pm. To follow the interview search for the #plusculture hashtag.

how do you interest your own children in art and history? i find it difficult with my son who’s now 12 as he automatically thinks ‘boring’ before he’s even looked at something. grrrrrr
Jarvis ‘Do you remember the first time’ you went to Europe?
I went camping in France with my mother and sister at the age of 8

Hi Jarvis! Hope you are well. I am new to Paris (now living half the month in France and half in the UK and commuting between the two on the Eurostar – long story!). Anyway, I’m still very much getting to know the area, so just wondered if you have a favourite art gallery in Paris that you would recommend? Many thanks, Caroline
Hi Caroline, the Pompidou centre is worth a try because even if you don’t like the exhibition you can just look at the building and the view from the roof.

Hi Jarvis, Where is your favourite place to go out for a meal with your partner in Paris, I’d love to find somewhere that wasn’t the typical touristy place or the overblown romantic numbers, just somewhere that plays good music, looks stylish and isn’t so expensive that you have to take a mortgage out before looking at the wine list! Thanks Charlie
I couldn’t tell you that, my partner would kill me.

ha ha fair play, I guess that’s the reason these places remain secret, because people want them too!
Dear Jarvis,
Hi, I’m Enrique, a Chilean bloke that lives in Wales.

Bonjour Jarvis,
My boyfriend (big fan) and I saw you on the Eurostar going to London with your son back in december. In terms of culture, what do you miss most about Paris when you leave?
Paris is famed it’s art, Brussels is awash with museums (40+) but in your opinion, which European city/cown hides it’s cultural light under a bushel?
That’s a good question. If only I knew the answer to it!

Hey Jarvis,
I am currently living in Paris and travel quite a bit to London using Eurostar. I haven’t been able to find an authentic English pub in the city that is away from all the touristic attraction. Any suggestions? One that is on the artistic side and has live readings of any sort would even be more appreciated.
